Organization

  • Step 1 - Supply us with the materials you would like scanned for the slideshow, along with any video, music or notes that may help the technician putting together video slideshow. 

    Please organize your materials as best you can by numbering the photos with a pencil on the back, write down how you would like the title slides to appear, and decide the music you would like, if any. 

    If you already have your images in digital format, that’s just fine. Give us a thumb drive, cd-rom, or external hard-drive with your media on it and we will copy the files into our editing station and start the process of creating the slideshow.

  • Step 2 - After scanning your photos we'll arrange your materials in the sequence you desire and add in music and title slides, if requested.

  • Step 3 - Once we finish creating your slideshow we will then upload a low quality draft for your review on the web to ensure the images, titles, and music are as you originally requested.

  • Step 4 - Confirm that the slideshow correct or provide us with additional instructions.

  • Step 5 - We burn a high quality master playable DVD for you, or can save a computer file to a flash drive (you can provide one, or purchase one from DRS.

Things to know about the slideshow

  • Each image is up for 5 seconds; this time includes transitions to the next image with a cross-dissolve

  • Audio can fade in and out at any point during a song, so songs do not need to be played in full

  • If your photos need to be in a certain order, then PLEASE organize your physical photos before coming into our office.

  • With each DVD slideshow you will be able to view a low-quality draft that will be uploaded to our Vimeo account & a link will be shared with you.

  • Corrections can be made to the slideshow after viewing the draft without accruing editing time if Digital Roots Studio has made mistakes.

  • Editing time will accrue if you make changes based on personal preference after viewing the draft.

  • Double check with the venue to confirm the type of media they can play (DVD player or disc drive v. computer file only)

  • Digitization of photos, audio & video is not included in the slideshow price.

DVD/Video slideshow (200 images or less) - $75

Title Slide - $3 per title slide

Muisc - $4 per song

Additional images over 200 - $0.25 per image over 200

Editing time - $1.25 per minute
